Dude, just go to Canada, IMO no comparison, just a better place and more euro like, so you'll be at home
Vancouver- I enjoyed the Asian food.. a lot of the chefs there were from Hong Kong. I also enjoyed the Chinatown there, and the shopping. It was a more relaxed city also. Montreal- is similar to a European city. More diverse people who live there. Interesting looking women to say the least ha ha. Toronto was just a scaled down Chicago to me..metropolitan area with ok nightlight..public transportation.
The thing to take into account are the taxes in Canada..theres a steep VAT tax (which is like a sales tax). Also the property taxes are quite high also. I recall I was looking to buy some condo in Vancouver 10 years ago as investment and decided against it because of the property taxes.
