I also saw Chad Ford on SportsCenter mentioning about this trade possibly going down. This has got to be the worst trade I've ever seen. Davis for Lafrentz straight up would be an awful trade for the Raps, swapping picks is just ridiculous.

Agreed. Davis for Lafrentz wouldn't be so bad, Davis is pretty much at the end of the line careerwise anyway, and they both have lousy, expensive contracts, but throwing in the draft picks is just absolutely r****ded. That's not much different from the Raptors trading their 4th pick for our 44th pick straight up.

Davis for LaFrentz & Dallas' pick makes sense. However, when you include Toronto's pick, then that totally messes things up.

If Toronto is that dumb, we have a chance.

Let's throw in Taylor + Rice + second round pick for VC + #4 pick. The salary would totally match!:D

I have laughed this deal off. This deal only happens if Cubes has pictures of Grenwald.

If this deal goes through, Toronto needs to go it will obvious that they dont care about winning. Les assume that Toronto pulls this stupid trade, who would dallas take? My guess would be Kaman they need a big man and he seems to be NBA ready.

In the trade that was proposed on ESPN.com they had Raef & NVE going to Toronto for Davis & #4. NVE was part of that proposed deal. Makes it more balanced I think.

If it is the deal that Deuce has proposed it is a lot more fair.

****, the last thing we need in the west is Bosh or Carmelo. And we also don't need Dallas getting one of them.

Why not? They would get twice as many 4's and we would only have one! I think they should throw in a player as well. :D

Ha. Every year bogus deals involving the Mavs are floating all over the media.

I don't mind seeing the Mavs deal away NVE, however.

Seriously. Possible final contenders? the Mavs wouldn't have made it out of the first roudn without Van Exel this year.

Isn't that exactly why MrSpur would like to see the deal done? Next year the Spurs would just have to get past the up-and-coming Rockets!

This is also what I heard about a week ago. But apparently, Toronto likes Bosh, and will take him at #4. So the deal will probably be LaFrentz for AD straight up. Maybe Raef will do better in the East. He played like a pansy against San Antonio.

Now Marc Stein, ESPN.com, is reporting that Kidd might try to push a sign and trade with Dallas. Stein suppositions that Nash could go to Jersey.

Chad Ford has portland and Raps talking about 'sheed and the #4, AD etc etc.

Lots of smoke. Any fire anywhere?
