When does it come to the point where people will admit that bush and his old white guy bankers posse with their deregulation and cheny and bush's oil and Halliburton war ruined the economy.

And that Obama has slowly righted the course for this nation. I mean things were truly looking bad. And now things are getting better why can't people simy admit that?

if people can't admit that he is American even after providing a birth certificate, what makes you think they will give him credit for anything?

Now imagine if congress (republicans) hadn't blocked stimulus efforts, shutdown the government, or rejected the Simpson-Bowles plan in favor of sequestration..

    Actually that's not accurate.

this has been an atrocious recovery -- should have been much better. The economy was going to recover after the financial crisis -- that was a given. The pace at which this recovery has happened has been too slow.

by the way -- unemployment rate is a worthless number

Lol...worthless unless it's going up...then you'll gladly use it to bash the president.

the ironic thing about this belittlement of bigtexxx is that the energy industry is most responsible for job growth. an industry that obama isn't best friends with.

I love how the radical right resisted every initiative of Obama and then complain the recovery was too slow. Very entertaining.

By the way, the economic recovery from major recessions typically take 5-10 years.

I'm not really sure this would qualify as "ironic" even if it were actually true.

I just glanced at the latest BLS report and this claim seems very, very, very unlikely, to put it mildly.

With all due respect, texxx, this post is dishonest, something you are keenly aware of, in my humble opinion. Do you never tire of posting the absurd in an attempt to belittle the truth?

It's 100% true. Why do you settle for such poor results? America deserves better.

Not sure if we're in a lost decade similar to Japan's recession caused by an overheated housing market. Heck, who knows if the growth is real or caused by more bubbles... That'll be up for historians 10 years from now to decide.

I think anyone who thinks the energy sector is what drove us out of the recession is crazy considering how high energy prices have been.

Your own data says that the number of people not in the labor force has been increasing every year since 1975.

But, but but, this suggests that there are external factors at play and not just policy.

It's cute that you actually thought that you had a good point to make. Very embarrassing for you...

If you check the numbers, the "Not in the labor force" is out pacing the "Labor Force"

Open a history book, look up 1945, and find the demographic change that might be driving the "not in labor force" numbers up over time. Then, please realize that this will continue happening in greater numbers over the coming years, for the same reason, regardless of who is in the White House.
