Well, they're addressing it now, so it becomes a habit, so i would say no. Plus, i doubt they'll forget about the Portland series any time soon, so it'll serve as a reminder the rest of the season.

Our bench is better than last years.

More toughness and Daniels will add plenty of offensive explosion. Excited.

I think it applies to the coaches too. Now they're all talking about defense and the need to keep players accountable and how to gameplan when opponents take away our bread and butter. Our coaches are learning on the job too.

So what pisses me off the most is that we were WINNING despite this. So if we had the same team and addressed these little things that got swept under the rug... what kind of team would this team have become!!??

You're assuming that team was capable of addressing these things succesfully. It's much easier when you add vets like Ariza and Terry. The leaders of this team are all veterans now.

He was definitely disgruntled last season. Asik/DMo had their own agendas last year as well.

Well it's equally assuming that adding Ariza and Terry would solve the issues. If anything the team last year was winning regardless, this year it's just a big question mark in the air. Here's how I see it

    With the team last year:
    Didn't solve the issue: winning
    Solve the issue: title contention

    This year...
Didn't solve the issue: ??? probably not winning as much?
Solve the issue: ??? may win like last year?

Are you an idiot? Howard is a veteran, he has been in the league longer with more experience...off course he is a better leader and says the right things.

This team looks focused they know their weaknesses and are working to correct them which we didn't see last year. In literally every interview with every player so far it's been about defense and hustling and working to improve defense.

" We play a different brand of ball when harden is out." at the time, many passed it of as a misquote by chandler.

well, we better play that brand when harden is in, otherwise it's will be the same old results. A democratic style, a style that coach sampson sneered at two seasons ago, is a must for us to be successful. Ironically, the addition of Ariza really promotes team ball and howard has really matured. But there is still one hairy individual that has to fall in line. if he does, spurs better watch out.

other than 'play harder' here are more of drexler like keys to the season..

    1. guard the PnR. all of our guards have sucked at it and our big man think they're above stepping out to defend it. I don't blame the big men, hakeem hated to guard it. Yao tried to but always got burned by eurothreeballjacking centers.

    2. Honor thy coach. don't disobey orders. If he doesn't want sticky, don't make it sticky.

    3. demo takes it to the next level. Such good post moves and high post passing. It makes me want to cry seeing him shoot threes.

The last game against Portland; he needs to play with that kind of intensity and focus and no BS'ing around the entire season. Kick arse and don't bother taking any names. DOMINATE the fools D-Howard!!!!

Wholeheartedly agree, as rough as these last few months have been after losing that way, I feel like our team/our stars will be hungrier than ever.

I have a great feeling about this season. Can't wait for Tuesday! I'll be at the game.

Harden knows what he needs to do, but knowing and doing are two different things. We shall see.
