Parsons thought he was legit all-star too.

    The next Battier?

I know he didn't shoot well at the World Cup, but the guy was quite physical which is what we need after last season. Too many softies on this team, especially with Parsons and Harden on the wings. Ariza and Papa may not be as good as Parsons, but the Rockets overall may become more successful with the change.

Ariza is super hungry to win again.

"In the 2009 playoffs, Ariza scored a playoff career-high 21 points in Game 1 of the first round against Utah Jazz. In the Western Conference Finals against the Denver Nuggets, Ariza stole an inbound pass for Chauncey Billups in Game 1 to help Lakers beat the Nuggets. In Game 3, the Lakers led by two points with 37.1 seconds remaining when Ariza stole Kenyon Martin's pass to Carmelo Anthony near midcourt to help Lakers take a 2-1 lead. The Lakers eventually won the series 4–2, sending them to the NBA Finals against the Orlando Magic. In Game 4 of the finals, Ariza who was 0-for-6 in the first half, scored 13 in the third quarter to help the Lakers win in overtime and finished the game with nine rebounds and three 3-pointers. The Lakers went on to win their 15th NBA title in five games, 4-1. Ariza averaged a career-high 11.3 points and 4.2 rebounds and shot 50% from three-point range in the playoffs."

So much for that BS about players hating being treated as assets. Oh wait it was just dumb ****s who actually don't know how the real world works

Anyway I was impressed with the big Papi when their team played against team Gilas in the World Championships, he was always in the right place in the right time to keep the opponent down and put out any fires the other team was trying to start, whether it was a block on back-breaking 3 pter, or a crafty layup when the game is close.

I think he's a good pickup and might be our undervalued player of the year.

Well, Kevin Martin had his 50 point and 40 point games and on the offensive side one can argue that he was a legit Allstar reserve material when he was in his absolute prime.

Although not a clear Allstar candidate because of his lack of D and his way of playing too timid in the 4th, relying too much on contact and his thin body.

I think the Ariza signing is very underrated he seems like he's already becoming a leader he'll fit in just fine and already working on that chemistry.

How sweet, one asset inviting another asset to lunch. Maybe they talked about where they might be traded before the deadline.

Just because the former player recommend that Kostas sign with Houston it doesn't mean that these guys think of the Rockets as treating players well compared to other NBA teams.

Remember, Kostas is NOT a free agent. So if he wants to give the NBA a try, he had to sign with Houston and not any other team. So these former players may just be recommending that Kostas gets his NBA years started now that he is 24 and see what happens. Besides, the $4.8M money is good.

It would have said more if former players are recommending that Kostas choose Houston over other NBA teams.

Plenty of euros have loved it overseas and prefer to stay over there. Pay tends to be higher in most cases and they are bigger fishes in the pond. Not to mention his championship pedigree wrt to teams he's chosen to play for. It certainly eliminates that Overseas is (at the very least) not greater than The Houston Rockets Experience. Which says quite a bit in and of itself.

Not sure why you feel the need to spin the narrative when your argument is contingent on an impossibility (that he could sign with other teams).
