I can absolutely assure you that, like Human Centipede, I will not see this movie.

I have not seen Human Centipede but can assure you that Tusk is more geared towards humor, you get all the Kevin Smith perks in this. Oh and there is one surprised guest that makes an appearance in this movie.

Yeah...read some of the reviews though and a common theme was, "this will be something you'll want to 'un-see'" Imagery that stays with you.

    nah, i'm good.

Saw it last night, really interesting..... definitely in the "Red State" tone without the supernatural/religious beliefs, definitely more humor in it but still a horror tone

one review says "the unseen can't be unseen" definitely fits here with the "walrus" suit....

one of Kevin's strength is writing/dialogue which shines here

there is a REALLY big star in the movie with a small part and if you haven't seen who it is through IMDB, you'd probably never guess who it is..... great role for him especially with being in another movie that bombed in the spring

would I recommend it? I can't unless you are a huge Smith fan, if its a causal movie viewer looking to see what movie to watch, then yea.... it is not for you...

    also Genesis Rodriguez is smoking......

btw, to those who have been long time Kevin Smith fans, you may remember in the MySpace days, if you commented on one of his post when he finished Clerks 2, your name was put in the credits for the DVD release. He is doing something similar through Instagram to those who watched it last night...

hopeful to see my IG handle in the credits since I got to see my name in the Clerks 2 credits :)

Man the criticism of fat people must have thrown Kevin Smith off the deep end.

I also will not be watching this movie. These just freak me the hell out

Good to hear it's worthwhile because I was kind of curious about it even though I thought Red State was just garbage.....

she was absolutely stunning in this movie :)

I need to watch Red State again, I wasn't in the right state of mind when I watched it at like 2am, Michael Parks was excellent here as he was in Red State

I love Kevin Smith films. But after watching that trailer? Not interested in the slightest.

Can't say the trailer blew me away, even though I love Michael Parks, and Kevin Smith does write great dialogue.

Makes me want to go back and watch the beginning of Red State again... just the beginning, it gets boring fast when the shooting starts. But I could listen to Parks give crazy sermons all day.

    ...

Hah, just got this quote from Smith from the Wikipedia page: "I just wanted to showcase Michael Parks in a ****ed up story, where he could recite some Lewis Carroll and The Rime of the Ancient Mariner to some poor mother****er sewn into a realistic walrus costume."

    Sounds about right.
