Hey, I'm wondering if I should get NBA TV next season. Did anyone have NBA League Pass last year? Were you happy with it? Do you get to see all the games? How much did you pay for it? Any problems with it?

    Thanks for any help!

Yeah, I'm very curious about that. Is it a monthly thing, or do you pay a one-time fee?

Living in New England makes it tough to catch Rockets games. :(

I don't live anywhere near houston anymore so I had to get it, it was like 200 bucks or maybe closer to 3 for the whole season, I don't really recall. It wasn't monthly though.

It was pretty decent. The Nba.com tv channel that used to run scores and highlights from a sportscenter like studio every night isn't on anymore, now they just run the same highlight clips every 3 minutes, but its no big loss

The games themselves were fine. Towards the end I stopped watching them all, because there were just to damned many, but if you want to watch basketball they gave you a hell of a lot of it. It was also interesting to hear what the other teams commentators had to say about the rockets most of the time. (except for the whiny moronic spurs jackass commentators, all they did was b**** about how the Spurs 12 point loss to the Rockets was decided by what they thought was a blown call with 9 minutes left in the 4th quarter--they are by far the worst.)

2 or 3 rockets games, for some unknown reason, were not carried by league pass or any other network, but it was not really a big deal as the other 78 games were either on league pass, TNT or ESPN.

It's like $159 if you sign up before a certain time, or $179 after a certain time, I believe. You pretty much get every game unless your provider doesn't have NBATV, then you'll miss a few games, but not enough to not make it worth it.

I just moved to NYC a month ago from Houston so I can attest to movies being a rip off here. However, I did have league pass back in Houston and it was a one time fee through Time Warner. There was also an offer to split it up into two payments for no additional charge. I don't remember how much I paid for it b/c it was a couple of years ago when the Lakers won the championship. It was a waste of money for me b/c I never watched all the games. That's why I didn't order it for this past season. Now that I'm in NYC, I have no choice but to order it to catch most if not all of the Rockets games this season.

$159 billed out in 4 monthly installments, and they will NOT let you pay all at once....believe me, I tried.

Well, $170 isn't THAT bad. I spent $10/month (for seven months) for the NBA Audio Pass.

    oh man, it's worth it.

especially if your favorite team doesn't play in the city you currently live in... it's a perfect way to follow that team.

$160 for the season. if that sounds like a lot... break it down on a per game basis. you can watch parts of up to 11 games a night!

It varies based upon when you order. Some of us got League Pass last year for $139.

i think that's how much mine may have been. it was an early bed special or something.

anyway... BEWARE of DIRECTTV or DISH! if a drop of rain hits the pavement outside, you'll get the infamous "searching for satellite signal" message on your tv. this isn't just for the nba tv channel of course, but you'll be in a pissier mood if it rains where your located while the rockets are playing.

it fustrated me enough that i switched back to cable with Comcast here in atl. still have the option of getting the league pass.
