Yes on both points. If you just want an iPod primarily to play music, then the click wheel is a much easier interface to use than a touch screen. Especially if you're doing something like driving. It also has three times the capacity of the biggest current iPod touch. Apple is probably strategically keeping the memory low on the iPod touch for some nefarious reason.
Thanks, that makes sense. I doubted my first guess because I thought there was no way a mechanical hard drive could fit in that form factor.
I have two 80 GB Ipod Classics. They are workhorses having lasted nearly 10 years each. I had to switch out the battery on one of them, but luckily they are working great (PBUH). The Ipod is the only Apple product I've ever bought. On a related note, does everyone still use Itunes to organize and file their music onto their Ipod or is there better software out these days?
I had to get an adaptor to plug into the back of the stereo. Pain to set up. Many new cars have ipod connections
I mainly use mine to save battery life in my phone and the added storage space because I own a lot of music. I use it in the car and when I am at the gym, and sometimes when I have to leave the office and wait in line music keeps me from going postal on people.
i had a 80gb classic for a while,. so much music on there i never knew what to play.. now a days im content with a premium spotify account and t-mobiles free music streaming service..
