Bungie didn't send out review copies until the beginning of the week I believe. Wanted to make sure reviews were based on activity you'd be seeing at release or something like that IIRC*. The reviews take longer too since it is a MMO-style game (and thus, takes a long time to review). * Or they were worried the game might not review as well as they'd like.
I think it all depends on who you talk to. I think the hype is completely deserved and I'm really enjoying the game so far.
From what it sounds like, this game is measuring very average across the board among players. I haven't seen any published reviews yet.
I'm enjoying it. Still playing through the story as a Titan. I didn't listen to all the hype for the game. I think some people think these games are supposed to change their life or something. It's ridiculous. It's a fun shooter. I'm switching between the story and other tasks you can do. The only changes I'd like to see are cooler looking loot, being able to edit your character, and the ability to use voice communication at the tower at least.
Renting the game from redbox at the moment. Game starts a little slow but after a couple hours its pretty fun. Best playing with friends and doing the strike missions which is a pain in the buttocks in a enjoyable way. PVP is surprisingly well made as well. My only complaint is going through the same areas too many times.
Got my Ghost edition for the Xbox yesterday. I started a character then my friends pulled me away to the PS4 version. I'm looking forward to playing it some tonight, does anyone know if Bungie used the impulse triggers?
I was able to get a new copy of the game from Microsoft Store, so I now finally have a working copy! I only played for a little more than an hour last night, and I plan on some more game time tonight. Again, hit me up at GuerrillaStench. I'm not sure if this is too much (probably), but would it be more effective to plan a specific time for a group of us to get on and team up?
I dont have the game, but from friends that do, they all seem to enjoy it quite a bit. I hear that solo campaign is boring and that you need to do it co-op style.
I think it's a lot more intense solo actually, with that said I play all the missions on hard. I'm not sure if that's the difference maker or what.
That makes sense then...my friends arent really hardcore gamers or studs when it comes to harder difficulties, so that could very well be the difference.
