    I'm not sure about the twolves being ahead of us...and the suns being that low. Switch those 2 teams and you may be on to something.

    and i absolutely hate the jazz, make no mistake, but 29th? maybe the writer of the article is a rockets fan too!

    Must....not...errggh!...get excited! I do think it's a pretty fair estimate--banking on an improving Yao with a strong purpose/system(hopefully) instilled by new coaching blood.

    8. Detroit. Hoping to get better inside with the No. 2 overall draft pick and maybe a veteran big man.

    Their ranked #29 right now because the best players on their roster are Andrei Kirilenko and Matt Harpring. Pretty much every team in the league has more talent than them.
    But with Malone and Stockton gone they will have a lot of cap money this off season, so they wont be #29 once the season starts.

    7th in the league is pretty awesome. they only list one eastern team ahead of us. 6th in the west is pretty good. i hope it happens.

    I appreciate the confidence by SportingNews but we have not done anything to earn it.
    From lottery bound to 7th in the league? Over Detroit (who whipped us like a pup), Indi, Pho, ...?
    Any of the 10 teams below us can give us a run for our money!

    I think it's really hard to rank this Rockets team based on their performance last year. We could beat the like of Kings or Lakers on any given night then lose to a crappy team like Nuggets or Clippers the next night. The key in the coming season is consistency.
