Seriously, what the f**k is everybody complaining about. There is literally no downside to this aside from disliking Terry. Allows us to take more money back in a trade and some free picks.
I'm cool with this. Doesn't improve the team, it's essentially Daryl spending Les' money to scoop up a couple second rounders. The value of the Gee contract was overblown, nonguaranteed contracts will only get you bad contracts back unless you're throwing out some serious assets with them. Bigger expiring is just as good.
Morey took guys that were going to get cut and traded them for a guy who is probably washed up and 2 second round picks. I don't really see the problem. If Terry is playing, that means he outperformed people in practice, so we could probably use him. If he doesn't play, at least Morey got 2 picks out of nothing. Likely out for the year.
funny, but yall need to chill out. two 2nd round picks in return, we get rid of those useless unguaranteed contracts. hopson, gee, covington hopefully. terry only has one year 5.8m left, they can buy him out easy. and of course he can be used to match contracts in a midseason trade. i hated morey signing nothing but min contract players but this trade isnt asb ad as you make it out to be.
Some of you fans will find a reason to nag. I think this a good move. if anything this brings some championship experience and an expiring.
Trading for Jason Terry is borderline evil. It's like the Allied forces making Adolph Hitler a general. I hope that this is just one of those trades to set up a trade. Whenever we play the Mavericks I am going to be very confused (will have to remind myself NOT to root for Parsons and to root for Rocket-killer JET!)
Terry hasn't been the same since this happened <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/V-QTiByTKaI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
