Spoiler yeah, it's pretty clear from the scene of him using the gun as a child that he's the tyrant willing to do whatever it takes to keep power, which will eventually consume him.
Yes but to be interesting they are going to have to give him a genuine ethical dilemma. The terrorist nephew will probably kill civilians so the reasonable man has to become a tyrant to protect the innocent. The wife will be his higher moral conscience, the daughter the desire to flee the situation entirely and the son the desire to give in to lust and power.
So did anyone watch the whole thing. Season ended with a bit of a blah cliffhanger of an ending, at least IMO.
Got about halfway through. Pilot was pretty good but felt pretty slow after. Kept watching, if only for Leila. Worth finishing?
Personally, I enjoyed the season up until the finale. It was a little disappointing. Have to see where they take it next season. Might be one of those where the network needs to be patient and let it build and improve. FX isn't one to pull a quick ax unless it's an absolute bomb.
I stopped watching after the third episode. How they can cast (the lead character) a white British guy as an Arab is beyond belief.
I think the idea for the show is good but the execution was kind of ****ty and I'm not sure if that's mostly on the actors or the script. I'll keep watching to see what happens but it's nothing special.
I just watched the entire first season over the past 2 weeks, and can say I enjoyed it. I was looking around to see if it had been renewed, but so far there is no news of it. I thought it was pretty good and the season finale had a solid twist, but you could see that coming a mile away from the dialogue when they were on the boat. We'll see what happens though.
I watched the first episode on demand and liked it! Unfortunately, I got caught up in other things and by the time I came back to watch episode #2, it had already gotten to the point no episodes before #5 were available to watch. I liked it but I guess I'll have to wait till Netflix gets it now.
Any updated opinions on this after a full season? Thinking about a series binge and this was recommended by a friend.
It's been 2 seasons now. It's an entertaining show, I actually liked the 2nd season better then the first.
I've seen every episode and I'm still a really big fan. It's worth the watch. The only characters I can't stand are Barry's family. Just weak. The rest are very good. Spoiler Was happy that the daughter in law is the one who got revenge on Jamal after all he has done. So Season 3, Barry is the tyrant? LOL
