I'm a heterosexual but I felt that turn about was fair play. Let's find out what makes people heterosexual. I'm not trying to mock the other poll at all, just some of the questions that people ask homosexuals and not heterosexuals. What if people went to heterosexuals daily and asked: Just how do you have sex? Was your mother too dominant? Did you not have a father figure in your life? Do you think that being hetero is a just a phase, and that eventually you go back to being homosexual? Anyway, this is mostly lighthearted, but I do believe there is a double standard in how the issue is dealt with and the kinds of questions that people feel comfortable asking the two groups.
I wouldn't call it a double-standard. Heterosexuality is the norm for a number of reasons. It is natural for people to start asking questions when they see deviations from the norm. Besides that, I don't think it even indicates a lack of personal reflection, as you seem to suggest, because answering questions about what makes a homosexual homosexual also leads one to a better understanding of heterosexuality.
