The results should be exactly 50/50 for clone-like reasons.

Parsons has the toughness to bang inside and become a traditional post player with some time. Hayward will never be able to score in traffic or bang the way Parsons can and will.

How exactly does he have that toughness? He can't guard PFs at all inside...he is too weak. DMo is much stronger than him and still struggles guarding 4's.

Like I said before Parsons has to cover his man and Harden's man part time as well. This takes a toll.

After signing max contract, any team would not be happy to have either. :(

Hayward because he's already proven he can be the best player on a team himself..Parsons has had the luxury of having 2 stars on his team to draw all the attention to…end of story..

I think that if you flipped the two players and put them on last years Jazz/Rockets Hayward would have been much better. Parsons would fail miserably in a role in which he was the primary option (he would be much worse than Hayward IMO - he only scored 0.55 ppp - or something close to that if my memory serves me correctly - in ISO sets), so I really don't see him ever developing into a star. Hayward would thrive much more alongside H&H than Parsons did IMO as he would get easier scoring opportunities and would be able to focus more on the defensive end.

Being awful at being the best player on a terrible team isn't proving you can be the best player on a team. I voted for Hayward all those months back, but the dude flat out sucked in that role.

With the talent he had around him, most players would suck, but my point was that parsons would suck more than him at that role, and Hayward would be better in the 3rd option role for the rockets than Parsons was.

I felt like I was finally ready to make an educated, well-informed answer to this thread.
