Yeah. I'm on too much of a high to care too much about who we're playing. I was at Baylor during the early 90s so we were at least a little relevant back then with Grant Teaff as our coach. But it's been 20 years and we've been a laughing stock (football wise) for so long. It's incredible that we've gotten this far.
That said, it would have been nice to have a higher profile opponent. I was reading an article where it was said that UCF is disappointed with the Fiesta Bowl too because their fan base would have to travel halfway across the country. And they would need 13k of them to pay for tickets just to break even.

    WORD!

Honestly, I don't feel like OKST screwed us at all. I'd rather have the Big12 title outright than split it with the team that dealt us our only loss.

As much as I'd like to test our mettle against a suqad like Bama, I'm elated about the situation we're in. Undisputed Big 12 champs, going to our first BCS bowl game, and hopefully christening our new digs next season as Big12 & BCS bowl champs.

    Sic 'Em!

Drove by it yesterday and it's really stunning. Two weeks from right now, I will be tailgating in some hot ass weather.

Looks like the Big 12 will come down to Bears and Sooners. What a beautiful stadium.

Baylor officially announced the Baylor In-Game App today. This should be a game-changer.

    Pretty cool idea/execution. Two questions:

    1. Will this actually work in-game? My phone basically turns into a battery-draining brick at large-scale sporting events (Works at Rockets games, doesn't really work at Texans/Longhorn games).

    2. Any thought that this could take people out of the experience of going to a game live?

    1. The stadium is going to have wifi which I believe makes it unique among other stadiums.

    2. No more than everyone else already being on their phones. I'm interested to use it for sure.

    1. • The Baylor Bears “In-Game” application by YinzCam will be available for fans to download in the stadium to watch videos, news and in-seat replays of the action from multiple views over the Wi-Fi network, and to follow key real-time statistics of the action. In addition, fans can stay connected to their team 24x7 through the new Baylor Bears In-game app.

    • Extreme Networks has installed its high-density IdentiFi™ Wireless solution to provide free Wi-Fi access to fans at McLane Stadium.

    • The Extreme Wi-Fi system is designed to support high density requirements, including high-speed connections for streaming content and uploading photos, support of social engagement, in-venue mobile application delivery

    • McLane Stadium is equipped with an AT&T-powered distributed antenna system, or DAS, that will give fans optimal cell phone service and reception from any point in the stadium. AT&T extended offers to other major mobile carriers to use the system, and Verizon has already committed to participate.

    2. I think it will enhance the in game experience by able to watch replays whenever there is a break on the field.

Would you support a rule requiring every big 12 team to schedule at least 1 team from one of the other Big 5 conferences even though that would negatively effect Baylor? Or at the very least, require them to change their scheduling philosophy?
