Looking to add a tv package, for those with DIRECTV, pricing/service any good?I came down to either Comcast or this because of El Rey network, the new cable network from Robert Rodriguez and those are the only two providers that carry it otherwise I would stick with ATT Uverse which they don't carry http://www.elreynetwork.com/
I don't think you'll find anyone with Directv that will complain that's for sure. The only gripe is the lack of CSN-H. Help a clutch brother out and use one of us as a referral! We both save $10 a month off our bill! (Pick me, pick me!)
I moved over from U-Verse a few months ago and I've really enjoyed it. The days of losing signal when it's cloudy are gone, I haven't had a problem. Even this past Sunday when it was storming and hailing, crystal clear picture. Their Genie boxes are good too. Similar to U-Verse in look but I think it's a little better. Our remotes are RF so there doesn't need to be a clear line of sight to the box which means the box can be anywhere, if that matters to you. But like justtxyank said, only gripe is lack of CSN-H. :/ Oh and pick me for your referral!
If you have DirecTV, double check your bill this month. I had several credits/adjustments removed due to a "system error". I called to have them re-added.
For the Rockets.. that's what ballstreams is for. Considering the state of the Astros, I'm okay with not watching their games.
I had DirecTV for a decade, switched to Uverse a few years ago when I moved to a house that had trees blocking the signal. I liked DirecTV, but have stuck with Uverse. Although the storm messing with the signal was rare, it was still annoying. I also have found I prefer just the red zone channel as opposed to Sunday Ticket, and DirecTV does not offer it as a stand alone product.
I'm paying the same for cable and 200 mb/s broadband for the same price I paid for Directv. I like directv service(had it for over 10 years) but with the broadband bundles U-verse and TWC are offering these days, I don't see why anyone would buy directv.
UM....Directv and AT&T are buying CSN. By the time Rockets have their first preseason game, that network will be rename and be on Directv.
