"At the center of the issue is a complaint about intimidation stemming from Perry’s threat to veto of $3.7 million in state funding to the Public Integrity Unit run by Lehmberg’s office. The threat came after she pleaded guilty to drunk driving and served a 45-day sentence; Perry called on her to step down but she refused to resign her position. Perry then vetoed the funding for the PIU." sounds abusive to me Rocket River

Yahoo.com had a nice little side story of the lady who helped bring the charges..lol...this should be interesting.

Nice. Sure she messed up. I don't want her in office either, but if she didn't do something that kicks her out automatically then she doesn't have to concede her position. What I don't understand is why Perry wanted her out so badly. Sure drinking and driving is a terrible crime, but is it worth committing another crime to right her wrong? ...Apparently yes!
in Travis County, being a Republican is grounds for indictment but conviction is not the objective, just like with Tom Delay just like Scott Walker, any effective GOP politician is a target for criminal prosecution
Do you disagree with the facts of the case? Do you disagree that what he did was illegal / an abuse of power? Or are you just randomly posting videos and twitter feeds? Interesting to see how much you want Obama investigated for every little thing - despite finding nothing every single time - but run wildly away from a case where there was actually a grand jury indictment and pretty open facts.
