Only to play mediocre in the playoffs and a 1st round exit.

It doesn't matter what he does in the regular season if it doesn't translate to playoff success and he did not succeed in the playoff.

He has an elite offensive game, but he does need to improve on defense and in this article he did not single it out. So, to some of us, it is nothing but lip service which a lot of players do.

Oh, I thought BleacherReports are not valued here. ;)

He's gone from 6th man, to an allstar leading his team back to the playoffs, to first team all nba. I'm pretty sure he's shown more at this point then anyone expected when we traded for him. He's 25 and improving every year, it's fine to be tough on him but if anyone's dissapointed so far, that seems a bit ridiculous. He's much better then I thought.

I thought he was significantly better last season than the year before. There is no reason to think a similar improvement will not been seen this season. This year, I expect better defense (of course) but also better timing, decision-making and maturity. At this point in his career, it's about maximizing his skills and putting the pieces together. He can't really get much more skill offensively. He is already THAT good.

I guess we shouldnt inspect him to be one of the most dangerous offensive players in the league hmmm. Look at the top players in he league and the things they add to their game year after year to make themselves better. Harden still has to work on a midrange shooting, scoring off post jumpers, shooting off screens, learn to use glass , improve long range 3pt % from top of the key, learn to actually JUMP when taking a jumpshot so he doesnt have to rely on a stepback jumper and much more.

Every player has their identity but with time he can REALLY become an elite offensive player. As of now this "efficiency" crap is holding back his progression.

He is elite offensively. What your saying he needs to do Is become lebron. I'm all for that but as we've seen. Theirs only one Lebron.

Efficiency is the name of the game. It is definitely not holding him back, it's why he's so damn good.

His midrange is fine. Compares very well with Durant. Harden is 2% better from 10-16 feet and 3% worse from 16 feet out to the 3 point line.

I would like to see his 3 point % get closer to 40 and a move out of the post other than a step back jumper would be nice, but at 24 years old he's already doing a lot of things very well and has plenty of time to keep adding to his game.

The only thing worse than BleacherReports is the comments section.

This is a direct interview from Harden, not a Bleacher Report commentary or opinion piece. Who cares who does the interview? Why does it matter if Bleacher Report did his interview or ESPN did it? His quotes are his quotes. My goodness.
