Probably saw a few before this (can't remember,) but Hercules was by far my favorite movie as a kid and I must have seen at least a dozen times.

Pretty sure I saw a few before this, but first I remember going to in the theatre was King Kong in 1976 with Jessica Lange and Jeff Bridges. I did see American Graffiti at the Drive-In, but I don't think it was the year it came out (1973)

This is the furthest back I can remember...

In Mexico, our school took us to a huge meeting where gangs dressed in those jackets spoke to us about being good to one another, and they never spoke about religion at all. It's like they said everything Joel Osteen says now, with no God or no Catholicism or Christianity attached. I was impressed by the huge black dudes who can speak about being "nice." I thought "that huge dude is nice?"... but don't remember what the movie was about... I saw it at about 1979 or 1980.

My parents took me to see "Song of the South" when it was reissued in theaters for a bit. Probably because it was one of their own childhood memories, and they could already tell it was going to be judged un-PC before long.

My first new release movie was E.T.
