Nah. It was good for a superhero movie, but there's nothing revolutionary or overly original about it. If she doesn't like superhero movies, she probably won't like GOTG.
Yes. This is a flick I'd take a chick to who wasn't ordinarily an action film or science fiction fan. It's funny, exciting, has a great cast, a great script, and she'll be calling you a sexy raccoon the rest of the evening. And if it helps, there are no superheroes in this film. Zero.
Have you seen it? If you have, point out the superhero inhabiting this thing. There aren't any, not in the traditional "superhero" sense of the word. Certainly not in my humble opinion. Take her, and then afterwards, take her. ;-)-

Then taking her to see this highly entertaining film will put a smile on her face. Where that leads, who can tell? I'm forever the optimist, except when it comes to that which will remain nameless here. Spoiler politics!
Boyhood-9 elves out of 10! definitely an uplifting movie. my only complaint is that they should have filmed into his 30s, release date 2027. =) oh and which game did Lane hit a 3 run homer to win or did he say lamb? It was bothering me during that scene.
Bad Words - 7.5/10. I thought it was pretty funny. I'm also a little bias because I'm a Jason Bateman fan.
Blood Ties - 7/10 Gritty crime drama. Pretty good cast with Clive Owen, Zoe Saldana, and Mila Kunis. Belle - 7/10 Period piece. I give it a 7 because Gugu Mbatha-Raw is hot.:grin:
American Hustle - 8.5 out of 10 I really liked it...very funny and superb acting all around. I can see why it got so many nominations.
but could you follow it? I liked it and the acting was superb but like by the end i had literally no idea what was going on... i would give it like a 6.5 mainly because the acting was so great.
