Maybe. But I'd imagine Portland fans may argue that 4 > 2. 99 > 98. Hence they are winners and we are losers. Maybe I should tell them we should get a prize for participation. :p

Which is more of an indication that the backup C position is not as important as our starting five.

Let's not forget that Dmo is much better at moving the ball, and more of an offensive threat.

Backups as whole had a pretty good defense rating, maybe cozs no Harden.

Their woe was offense, not much offense talent in that lineup other than Lin/Brooks.

Dmo would have been against a lot of teams, but they didn't use him in the post enough.

Nice theory, but the Rockets' defensive PPS with DMo as the center actually sucked a whole lot. OP is mistaken. His stats we confused. They mainly were for when DMo was a backup PF with either Asik or Howard on the court. OP mistakenly assumed DMo was backup C for every game Asik didn't play. 82games.com says otherwise.

First off Dmo is only 23. He will improve. He has definitely bulked up and improved since year one. I truly believe we have ourselves a gem and decide to keep him. Asik seems to be where he is, especially at 28. Hope we keep the big fella. He can play both pf and center at his height and that will help.

Enjoy your Kool-Aid, I hear it's quite refreshing during the summer.

But your hypothesis and conclusion is completely wrong about DMo vs Asik...

Asik's defense was never the same since the "pouting" incident...... His last good defensive game was that game early last season against the Grizz....

If Asik gets back to his 2012-13 defensive level, the Pelicans are going to have one of the best interior defenses in the game.
