Pfff, I will speak for myself in this case and say that for 10 plus years I accepted Comcast, their internet that would go down once a month, their failure of a product they called cable television (especially when they went digital and blamed me for the poor reception) and their terrible customer service reps/technicians. All because they were the cheapest option. I will never put myself through that again. I have combination of DirecTV and At&t internet and loving the results (except for the CSN factor). I will continue to stream the Rockets game (if I can) because I refuse to put myself through the headache I went through before.
This, most of the time. Living in Europe it's hard to watch bb at 3-4AM and then go to work, so you just wake up, not check FT for full day and then watch it after work. Sometimes I watch live games that RoxNation group streams.
Switched to Comcast specifically so I could watch D12. I needed some customer service right after I signed up and of course it was terrible. Once I got a direct phone number for my service guy, we got it going. Nobody I ever talked to, including the service guy, knew the X2 remote was programmable to control the AV sound... nobody. The only note for it was several pages into the FAQs. After even after a couple of upgrades the sound selection in the settings will not indicate Surround Sound though the surround sound is actually decoded..????? As a system though, I have to say it's pretty great. The X1 interface is really useful, they bumped my speed up yesterday to over 100 mbps, the price is comparable to Uverse. //no shill because the customer service is just as terrible as all the stories
I've considered switching to Comcast just to watch the Rockets, but my worst fear is switching and then my old provider finally begins showing the games shortly after....
With NBA league pass (or other types of subscriptions), yes. The only area it is blacked out is in Houston for non Comcast viewers.
I was the same last couple years but then Comcast upgraded the internet giving me faster (up to 100 Mps) so now I am like oooh.
Has Comcast ever been the cheapest option? That would be the first I've heard of that. And if you thought Comcast cable was bad you should have tried DirectTV for your 10 year sample. Talk about unreliable. No one solution is perfect but people that get burned by one provider or another sometimes miss out. I was anti-Verizon for years due to a bad experience but I switched back about five years ago and it's been great.
