He's not worth 15 mil but after the stars started being moved teams were interested because he was an expiring and they could use his 8 mil to fill cap space. Reason why you had to deal a draft pick w him was because Morey had no leverage. Morey had a 48 hour window to get Bosh and resign Parsons while other teams could wait.
Nobody would pay 15 million just to fill 8 million in cap space. His value as and expiring contract assumes that we would be willing to take back long term bad contracts in return. Lin might have had some trade deadline value, but not during free agency.
seriously. lin is a great guy. check out his linsanity movie and then go tell that to the guys face. immature people
It would be mindblowingly funny if the current Lakers squad gets anywhere close to the NBA finals in the next several years. Or maybe just mindblowing.
Same could be said for 80% of the NBA. Now the question is...where are the Rockets in that line in the sand. Especially with McHale at the helm.
For the Rockets, adding a player of Chris Bosh's caliber could've gotten us really close to being a legitimate championship threat. The same can't be said for most NBA teams. Besides, fans of the Bucks, Wizards, or Raptors don't go around imagining that a championship is in their realm of possibility in the near future, or think that a popular second-tier player is equal to or better than the league's stars.
Bosh DEFINITELY puts them in the mix as the favorites in the West, but I just get this feeling that a strong role player and better game coaching might get them there also.
Agreed. If the Lakers win 40 games its because Kobe had one last Herculean effort left in him. The rest of the roster is garbage. This should probably be in the Dish or closed
