Even if Rose isn't what he once was, the addition of a legit interior presence in Gasol will give the Cavs problems. Gasol + Noah + Gibson are scary 3-man big man rotation that can score, defend, and rebound. Rose being healthy would simply make them just ridiculously good. Miami was mediocre defensively last year. I think they were middle of the pack. When Lebron was with the Heat, they never had a rim protector or dominant defensive presence to help Lebron anyways. I think the Cavs will elevate their level play simply b/c Lebron will make them better. But for the Cavs to truly compete, they need that elite offense. Miami's offense was elite considering the numbers. And they would have given Spurs a better challenge if Bosh/Wade showed up. Now replace that with Kyrie and Love.
True. But I would think that a team like WAS, MIA or TOR has a realistic chance vs. either of them in a playoff series.
There's no type of technology that can scan for bone structure vulnerabilities in 2014? This is awful...
I agree. Without Stephenson, it just makes sense to try to tank this year and try to get a top pick and see if you can rebuild the team.
I have to agree with this statement. You can never take all of the risk out of playing but when you identify a risk that can be easily fixed it has to be removed, period and no exceptions.

That is one reason I think they make sure to keep Wiggins. I'm not sure if the agent tie is the only reason Tristan Thompson is not being mentioned, but ideally for Cleveland, they push the trade as Thompson, Waiters and a 1st or two. Give up Bennett if you have to, but keep Wiggins. And of course LeBron should be tampering his ass off to make Love demand Cleveland. If Cleveland runs out a lineup of: PG: Irving (Harris) SG: Wiggins/Ray Allen (Allen/Wiggins) SF: LeBron (Miller, Bennett) PF: Love (Bennett) C: Varajeo (Haywood) I don't know how anyone else is considered a favorite if Cleveland can put out that team. That is probably the best rebounding team in the league, has an elite post scorer, an elite wing defender, a good post defender, two shooting specialists, a guy that can create almost as well as anyone and the best player in the world, who can do all of the above. If I am the Cavs I give up all three of Thompson, Bennett, and Waiters if it means keeping Wiggins and the Haywood contract. If not, wait until he is a free agent and power play with that Haywood contract and the ability to send back one of Bennett and Waiters or have Minnesota lose him for nothing. Really irks me how good the Cavs can be just like that.
Chicago and Charlotte may have something to say about that. But Indy wasn't a sure thing to come out the east even with George.
Pretty surprised this doesn't happen more around the league knowing how hard some guys play and how awkward some guys come down from time to time. Wishing a speedy recovery for PG.
Damn that looks just NASTY Big hit to team USA & Pacers but hopefully PG makes a full recovery and doesn't weaken, shorten his carrier...
