    The wife and I are planning a little family weekend getaway, hoping to hit one of our state’s tremendous national parks. So I was on NCPA’s site, looking into Big Thicket, when I stumbled upon this little slice of nonsense:
    Uhm........... say wha? As a proud Texan – no, no – as a proud AMERICAN, I am offended to the very core of my being. I have submitted a comment to the site, detailing my outrage - but the site needs many, many more comments. Not inflammatory vitriol - but a thorough wrist-slapping as the very idea that Dallas ranks as one of Texas' greatest exports... Right? Who’s with me; let’s go…………… (Germans? Forget it; he’s rolling)

    Dallas??


    DALLAS??!

    Thank you, NCPA, for ruining my day…

    I dunno man. As an outsider, Dallas is probably the first city to spring to mind. After all, that TV show with JR was pretty popular.

    My comment.... Hoping a lazy mod only reads the beginning....

    This was amazing, I loved reading every single word of it... I am so excited for what The State of Texas has to offer and the wonderful wildlife that you can experience here. Except the part of Dallas, Dallas is awful and Mark Cuban is a prime example of any Dallas native. I hate Dallas, and everyone should too. Houston is by far the best city and the reason why Texas does not suck. Wonderful article. Two thumbs up....

    The only reason Dallas is more recognizable than Houston nationally is because of the show Dallas and the Cowboys. Other than that both cities are roughly equally important economicly to the nation.
