So would you not want Rajon Rondo on the team? Because he doesn't shoot 3's, either.

We probably have moves in the works for a PG. Doubtful Ish makes the rotation (might not make the team).
Here is a statistical comparison between Beverly, Cannan, Dragic and Bledsoe.

(There is a chance we could get EB). Sessions might be in the mix or some other trade for a PG. Not a great idea to start the season with the group of PG's we have.

Too bad we a) cut Shaun Linvingston & b) missed him this off season.

He could have been a quality player for us.

I wouldn't have given him the full MLE. I think GS overpaid and took on a mighty risk.

Rondo is so elite in the other areas of his game that it makes up for his lack of shooting ability. Ish is not even on the same stratosphere.

for the rockets to be successful this season, I think it has to be canaan. If he doesn't prove to be a 6th man type scorer of the bench, I think this team is gonna have a tone of problems.

This is my thought as well. Morey still has another big move up his sleeve, either an upgrade at PG or PF, maybe even both.

If I had my druthers the backup PG is Shved (small trade), he would be the perfect complement alongside either Canaan, Daniels or Johnson. Shved would also fit the recent trend of defensive minded role players as well as Morey's streak of finding up & coming PGs before they bloom.

This. Don't assume that the backup PG is currently on the roster. Morey ain't done yet.

Also, I base my previous statement off that fact that newly acquired Rockets point guards intended to be back-ups frequently take the starting spot.

Where are people getting that his shot needs a lot of work? I keep reading that...He shot almost 80%FT and 36%3PT in college. I know the NBA three is father away, but those numbers show a guy with a decent jumper that just needs to be tightened up. Far from needing a lot of work or being broken.

I think we will see Nick Johnson very soon, if not by the start of the season. Johnson's game is the closest to the player he is replacing, Lin.

give all the bench minutes to the young guys.

canaan as a backup pg, daniels at the 2/3, dmo at the 4/5.

minutes will inflate their stats, inflated stats on low wages means their trade value increases.

And there (probably) goes season 2013/14.

Are we doing the "win it now" or are we in the rebuilding stage still?
