When Yao Ming was announced that he was the 1st draft and was selected by the Houston Rockets, how come I heard a lot of people booing in the background?
They heard NBA would do anything to send Yao to New York. Therefore the New York fans were thinking that Yao would somehow slipped to #7 on draft day and drafted by the Knicks. So when they found out Yao was picked by the Rockets at #1, they booed. Anyone agrees with my theory?
Yeah, I saw that one... man, I kinda feel sorry for DeAngelo, because he tried so hard to get into the NBA, and he can't even go to college anymore...
Come on, they cannot be serious dreaming about Yao's slipping to #7, that was obvious the moment people knew he was available in the draft.
Everyone knew that we were picking him, I mean, we had guys over there for weeks working out the contracts and FIBA release as well as the release from the CBA. There are a lot of idiots out there!
Yup, NY fans boo everything. By the time the Knicks came to bat they were already chanting "Lay-Den Su-Ucks, Lay-Den Su-Ucks."
I couldnt have been serious when saying that, could I? Relax ... I was just poking fun at the booers Even the 90 years old great grandma of my buddy knew before the draft that Houston was going to draft Yao
They were booing because they thought a player from China couldn't been that good and deserved to be number one. They wanted Jay Williams to go first. Losers!
