Eddie Griffin - Green for his favorite color.
---------------

Draft rights traded by the Nets to the Houston Rockets for the draft rights to Richard Jefferson, Jason Collins, and Brandon Armstrong on 6/27/01....Signed by the Rockets on 9/18/01.

01-02 HOU 02-03
Games Played :73 - 77
Started : 24 65
MinperGame : 26.0 24.5
RPG: 5.7 6.0
BPG: 1.84 1.44
PPG: 8.8 8.6

Eddie's #'s went down in 2002-03. Usually players get better than the season before.

Check Richard Jeffersons #'s
01-02
PPG - 9.4
RPG - 3.7
02-03
PPG - 15.5
RPG - 6.4

-- Rockets messed up on taking Griffin for Jefferson/w2 players. But everyone already knows that. What is Eddie going to do this year? Is he going to produce or is he going to do worse. If i were the rockets i would trade him for his value now for possiblity of being a better player.

Problem : What happens he goes somewhere else and plys awesome, then the rockets are going to screw up twice.

Solution : Rockets play him half a season and then trade him during the middle of the season if his #'s aren't up. That seems to be the conclusion everyone is talking about. I think the rockets are wasting the time with him. Hes not the projected player everyone thought he was going to be. Either trade him now are pay the price.

- I'm glad im not CD, cause i would have a heart attach over this young stud. Wouldn't no what to do with him. But if Rockets could pull off a awesome sign & trade with Him, then who cares right?????
-My point exactly.

Well, the truth is Rockets will keep him for more years , and be more years of waiting for this guy, till finally he gets traded. He might be a PJ Brown guy when hes 26 but thats about it.

-Rockets traded Jefferson which nobody in the Rockets Organization will admit it, but it was the stupidist thing to do in Franchise history next to TRADING HAkeem and not letting him play out his final years as a Rocket.

So lets give him another year, Rockets are on the upswing of things, and they are winning. Lets see how he is this year maybe this could be his break out season. Or maybe not..

Even in 2-3 years if hes pulling down 8-9 RPG, and Scoring 10 PPG hes will still be a good compliment PF For Ming's Probable 11-12 RPG - 19 PPG. Francis will be scoring 24-25 ppg atleast 7 apg in 2 years.

Keep Griffin, Who knows! Win or Lose anyways. They should of just traded him last year.

Oh well..

Yes, give him this year... unless some great trade comes along. This will be the deciding year on Griffin. Especially with Van Gundy coming in. If he does not hustle and play up to his potential, he will not play. So we will see. Iread somewhere that Van Gundy did a great job getting Camby to play. Hopefully he can do the same with Griffin.

That said... I believe he will be much better this year.
