Being a fan doesn't mean you bash them as many times as you can saying the same stuff over and over. We get it. You dont like Harden and his defense and Morey should not treat players like assets. Im sure Im not the only tired of you incessantly pushing the same agenda in every thread. New topic please!

In separate interviews, Chandler Parsons said the comments by Harden and Howard were "ridiculous" and he's excited for a bigger role in DAL.

"Parsons said Harden's comment surprised him, since James of all people knows what it's like to want a bigger role after leaving OKC for HOU."

Several things wrong with this, including the fact that Harden's departure from Oklahoma City (trade) in no way resembled Parsons' departure from Houston.

Also - WANTING a bigger role and actually being good for it are two different things. James was a bench player, accepting his role despite an incredible skillset, while Parsons was a starter, given every opportunity to show his mediocre skillset and say things like "I'm the best small forward in this series".

I don't fully agree with what James said; or at least there is a much better way to say it. But everyone's got an ego nowadays - Parsons and Harden especially.

I don't really see Chandler's point. Yes, Harden was a role player in OKC and never shies away from saying that. Every time OKC gets brought up, he acknowledges that it was the KD & Russ show, with him playing a role to help the team. Every time. I don't see how that precludes him from acknowledging that on this team, he is a foundational piece, while others are role players in the same way he was in OKC. Whether you think his statement was right or wrong, I fail to see what his role in OKC has to do with it.

Harden didn't mention Chandler's name, but I do think that's where the statement was directed. And Chandler's response suggests he thinks so... it's like "Harden of all people should understand why I left" -- when Harden's statement (on the surface anyway) had nothing to do with Parsons or his departure, but was rather a general statement about the team. There seem to be hurt feelings on both sides.

Jesus....does Parsons ever shut the hell up?

Parsons had responded to every single quote from a Houston player regarding his/our situation...

I don't care if Harden is politically correct or not. We all know what he said is true but some here just don't like the fact that he said it. It is like some people are wanting Harden to be Gary Kubiak or something. Say all the right things but never deliver. I just want the Rockets to win above everything else. I really don't care what Harden said or didn't say to be quite frank. I have enough other obligations in my life to not have to worry about what another man said. We can debate this until we are both blue in the face. All that matters is what Hardens teammates think about what he said. Until we hear that the other Rockets players have issues with his comments we are just collectively...

Not surprised that Lin would say something classy like that. Also not surprised Harden said something not classy.

You don't hear LeBron or Duncan say their teammates are just role players, after winning championships. Harden, on the other hand, does not have anything to backup his words. All he got to show so far is two first round exits, and got abused by Wesley Mathew of all people.

Neither of these comments should matter. The media only brings this up to players like Lin and Parsons because they know fans like you would react to it. Trying to start something out of nothing.

    What a leader

Technically he is right, but this is something you keep to yourself. No need to tell the public about it.

People are acting like Harden said his teammates are worthless. Everybody on that roster knows that they are their to play support roles for Harden and Howard and most are probably perfectly fine with that. As long as he isn't disrespecting them when they are playing together I doubt any of them really care.

He probably did not need to say such things or maybe just should have just given the cliched PC response that everyone is important, blabhblabhblah...but who really cares? He and Dwight are the cornerstones and being PC doesn't change that fact.
