Incase you dont know, Brand is an excellent without the ball player. He doesnt have to have the ball to be very effective!!

If Brand's going to sign an MLE for any team, it's going to be the Lakers before anyone else...

Cuttino, Eddie, Kelvin, and a 1st rounder for Elton and Quentin Richardson.

Rodzilla (and you) are saying nothing insightful. me, everyone on this board, everyone in the nba, and everyone in the rockets front office would sign brand to the MLE if they could. but as previously pointed out, if you offer the MLE, the clippers will match. b/c he is a restricted free agent, when the clippers match, they get to keep him, thus no team will actually go thru the trouble of offering him the MLE, nor will brand accept it. he will instead sign for one more year in clipperland (barring a trade) and then become an unrestricted free agent and get the real money next year.

That's ridiculous. The Rockets already have two power forwards, and it's not like they are that difficult to find. And, last I checked, Brand's not a small forward, and the Rockets already have a center.

Point guard and center are the two hardest spots to fill with quality on an NBA roster, and you want to trade PG for a player who plays at the Rockets' deepest position? Crazy.

As for sign-and-trades: when was the last time the Clippers allowed one of their own free agents to leave via sign and trade? I'll wait. Fact is, they'd rather let them walk. And there's no way they'd get Francis out of the Rockets in such a deal, so don't bother.

It's not happening, folks. As pointed out several times by francis 4 prez et al, the Clippers would match an offer of a MLE - they aren't *that* dumb to let him go that easily. The Rockets don't have the room - financially or in terms of roster space - to add Brand. He's a great player, but not for the Rockets.

Brand will never, ever, sign the MLE. As much as sports fan hate to hear this, the NBA is a business - and Brand's big payday is coming up. He would be stupid to sign for any less than he is worth, which is the max.

Brand is young, I don't think he's completely desperate to win a championship yet. Every player wants to win, but I think he'll look to get paid and set himself and his family up for life. He could do that and be a champion if you goes to the spurs.

Dream on Dude, if Elton B go anywhere, Rox would be his last options in Texas. Money and a Championship ring possibilities are way better in San Antone Town. Just my 2c opinion

thank you. how some people don't see this is incredible. and how someone can say he is not a good center just makes them look stupid.
