Precisely. Ray Allen is a career 40%+ 3 point shooter, and the all-time leader in 3 pointers. Troy Daniels might have a season where he shoots 40%+ from 3 point land? But let's not get our hopes up. He is horribly over-rated around here! Allen would provide 1000x what Daniels could, and that's just as a shooter, let alone in defence, as a leader, championship experience etc etc.
Busted as in .448% corner 3's in the playoffs busted? As in .92% from the line in the playoffs busted? As in 26 minutes a game in the playoffs busted? You're right. I can't imagine why we'd want the guy.
Last year Daniels reminded me of Ray Allen, just from the similar size and quick, pure release. Don't know if he has the ability to do anything off the dribble though.
Daniels is not the complete player Allen is. We would be r****ded not going after Allen (still don't think there is a chance in hell he picks us over Cleveland) just because Troy Daniels is on the team.

When we got Howard, I thought the Rockets would be the team that all the veterans would choose to go to on cheap contracts...just like they flocked to Miami when the big 3 got set up. That's turned out to not be the case at all...they only follow Lebron.
Easy choice for Ray Allen if he's trying to choose between Houston and the Cavaliers. If he does go over there what are they going to do with Waiters?
wrong timing ... it just so happened that this offseason, FAs could choose between LA, NY, MIA, CHI and HOU. The superstars, when they had a choice, did not choose HOU.
We are not contenders. With the addition of LBJ the living cheat code, any team instantly becomes a contender. This is why DM has always been desperate about getting that 3rd elite player.
What he doesn't understand is that with the exception of LBJ, all the big names went back to their original teams. Unless a player is seriously disgruntled, he rarely leaves his team. He has comfort there and if he has a family, an established home. This was the case with both Bosh and Melo. They wanted to stay home over winning. This is why they did not go to Chicago or Houston. As for LA, who the hell wants to go to LA right now and play 2nd fiddle to a broken down and vastly overpaid Kobe? As far as Rockets pissing of people by treating them like assets, how come so many former Rockets player have been willing to come back to play for us?
