i think i understand the bi annual is only available every other year when not used but i thought you could only use one exception out of the MLE or bi annual this year.

BUt i guess i was wrong (thanks bima) , it would be interesting if we use the $2,077,000 amount on any FA, by my math if we did use it and then used every cent of the MLE we would be at $71,031,875.58

    Does he play defense?

I actually kind of line the dude... BUT the furor to do the Mavs approach with every (way) past their prime player out there has to stop. If we did that... We'd be the Mavs. No thanks.

$71M? You must be including the Lin TPE in that number, right?

We should show interest, Mavs will give him a max.

Actually, the $71 million figure does NOT include the Lin TPE (but includes cap holds for Hamilton, Garcia and Capela). Also, I think you missed Canaan above.

If you add in the Lin TPE (which does NOT count against the cap or tax unless and to the extent actually used), we're looking at a figure closer to $79-80 million.

Did Morey really resign Ish Smith? I am not keeping up. Moochie is next.

That very fact makes a veteran point guard even more important.

When Patrick Beverley is the most experienced point guard on the roster, then you're in trouble. It's fine having young talents under development, but there should be at least one established veteran in the mix. There are certain game situations when you don't want an inexperienced player running point for a team.

    bima to the rescue.

Hopefully a Hamilton sign and trade can get done sooner rather than later.

Edit: rechecked my math and I had ariza at 8.58 instead of 8580000 thus being way under. And I include cannan just didn't write it up their.

    My figure is 79,611,867 yikes

Also having us able to get down to $53,402,613
    If we
    Waive
    Gee
    Hopson
    Powell
    Bev
    Cov (150k g)

    Decline cap holds on
    Hamilton
    Garcia

    Waive the lin trade exception

And obvs don't use the MLE Or bi annual

And that's all the cap work you will ever see me do on CF's so I don't continue to embarrass myself and leave it to the pros

I think if Dwight wanted to play with Nelson again, the Rockets would have shown interest.

he's nto the only guy to look at, but he is one of the best fits when you factor in everything.

marion couldnt shoot the 3 in the playoffs, in the regular season he averaged less than one per game at about 35%. i call it a fluke. marion isnt gonna make a huge impact so i'd rather run jones and dmo at pf and let them develop

Jameer played the 3rd most minutes of his 10-year career last year (on a terrible team), but also posted his worst PER and his worst defensive rating, for what that's worth. He's an older, less fat version of Felton. Meh.

Marion gives the Rockets help in a bigger whole which is defense. We can score. But we can't defend.

im not opposed to marion, as long as we dont rely on his 3pt shooting

only reason i want nelson is cuz im not confident on the pg rotation. beverley, canaan, and smith. bev can get better but for now he's not a starting pg. also need mor eball handlers after losing parsons and lin.

if the team thinks canaan or smith will give good production then ok. tho i'l lhave to see it to believe it

I posted this in the TRADE Thread
    but

This may sound silly. . . but . .. . IF PROVEN A BIT HEALTHY at the Trade deadline
Would you be interested in Taking NASH off the Laker's hands for a playoff push

    1. He expires at the end of the year
    2. Maybe he Could be gotten with the Trade Except or Use to trade someone flotsam and open up more space next year
    3. He would provide experience and desire for 1 last shot at a championship

    Rocket River
Question: Is a 75% Steve Nash > Jeremy Lin?

Man I would totally be on board with this...if Nash was at 75%.. I don't think he's even that healthy. But yes any Nash is better than Lin. He may be physically limited but he's still smart and has a high bbiq.
