Isaiah Canaan will proclaim good news for the Rockets

Canaan has impressed as a scorer...but as a PG, not so much. His passing is not good and he just doesn't finish well...often missing easy lay-ups.

NJ looks to me like he is capable of passing Canaan in the depth chart and being in the rotation this year...pending additional trades before training camp.

 

D - League is all about scoring. Thats the way you get attention. He proves he can take over games... and most importantly... end up with a WIN. That all starts with the point guard on that team. When we let him go you guys are gonna whine again.

 

There are more than couple times yesterday he pounded on his chest and told his teammates that he either made a poor pass or made couple very bad shots.

Such as on one of the fast break with Rox going 3 v 2 and Cannan stopped at the 3 pt line for a pull up 3.

This kind of dumb shoot selection may work in D league, but he won't stay on the court for long and will get pulled by any good teams.

 

Canaan > Nash, Magic

Either one of them will do just fine with Harden, who handles the ball most of time anyways.
