Something like this may have already been posted but... Gee Covington Hopson Powell (Unguaranteed contracts) for Thad Young works on Trade Checker. So basically we can trade all of those for a 9.4 M contract and still retain all our exceptions. Add Jones/D. Mo, etc... and the quality of player coming back goes up as well as trade $ amount. This has to be the way Morey is thinking. Now if we can only find a team that's a seller at this point of talent.
Rockets need to buy low like we did for James Harden and not buy high like we did with Howard and tried to with Bosh. Bledsoe & Stephenson are great candidates that have the potential to be max contract players in a couple of years. Stephenson is obviously no longer available but Bledsoe could be. If the Suns are listening to sign and trade offers, Morey better be going after this young, all around great PG. Harden, Bledsoe, and Beverly just may be the best back court rotation in the NBA and Bledsoe and Beverly's defensive toughness is definitely enough to make up for Harden's defensive weakness.
1. Rockets trade- TPE Bucks trade- Ilyasova, 2nd rd pick 2. Rockets trade- Dmo, Cannan, NYK 2016 2nd rd pick Hawks trade- Schroeder, Antic Bev/Schroeder Harden/(Daniels or Johnson) Ariza/Gee Ilyasova/Jones Howard/Antic/Dorsey
Houston Rockets + Houston Texans + Houston Astros = F#@$#@2 up It's not fair I am sick of losing every yr.
Interesting. I had not considered the possibility of Smith going to Phoenix. However, if that deal went down, I'd say that Detroit owes Phoenix a pick and we shouldn't have to give Detriot a lottery pick for them having the privilege of dumping Smith. LOL So: Phoenix In: Josh Smith, Detroit 1st Phoenix Out: Dragic, Gerald Green Detroit In: Green, Covington, Jones Detroit Out: Smith, Jerebko Houston In: Jerebko, Dragic Houston Out: Covington/Jones/non-guaranteeds/possibly Bev This would be my version of it
If we can't make a blockbuster trade to get a good player I say we swap the NO Pick straight up for Doug McDermott.
Terrence Jones+rights to Sergio Llull+Canaan+Capella to IND for West and George Hill. This allows Indiana to acquire youth and take a step back in building around Paul George. Howard/Dorsey West/Motiejunas Ariza Harden/Daniels Bev/Hill
Rox Lineup: Llull Harden Ariza Dwight Love Bench: Ish Johnson Adrien Dorsey Martin??? Jerebko? Minny's lineup: Rubio Dragic or Bledsoe Brewer Pek or Dieng Monroe Detroit's lineup: Bev or Canaan Jodie Meeks Gerald Green or Butler Drummond Smith or Monroe PHX Bledsoe or Dragic Kmart or Dragic TJ Warren Monroe or DMo Smith or Dmo or Jones lots of moving parts....lots of options...but it could all work
Gross. Favors is pretty average, and will want big $ next year. Gobert is so raw. Basically what Capella will be in 6 months time.
Houston: Harden out, Love and Dragic in Sun: Dragic and Bledsoe out, Harden in Min: Love is out and Bledsoe in picks here or there.
Houston out: Jones, DMo, Canaan, Powell, Hopson, Gee, NOP Houston in: SnT Bledsoe Phoenix out: SnT Bledsoe Phoenix in: Jones, DMo, Young Philly out: Young Philly in: Gee, Hopkins, Powell, Canaan, NOP That should give Bledsoe around 13-14mm to start. Howard TPE or MLE Ariza Harden Bledsoe
Trade DMO, Isaiah Canaan, NO 1st, & TPE for Goran Dragic Sign Marion for 2 years 9M (whatever is remaining of MLE after signing Nick Johnson) Roster in July: Dragic/Beverly/Smith Harden/Daniels/Johnson Ariza/Marion/Covington Jones/Adrien/Capela Howard/Dorsey After date has passed for the Asik trade NGTEEDS to be combined, then trade them plus two second rounders for Ersan Ilyasova Game 1 roster Dragic/Beverly/Smith Harden/Daniels/Johnson Ariza/Marion/Covington Ilyasova/Jones/Adrien/Capela Howard/Dorsey 2 of Johnson, Covington, and Capela at RGV
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=o8nc89m One of the rookie contract guys, NOP pick, and some non guarantees (in this case, Gee) for Zaza Pachula (to play backup to Dwight) and Illyasova. Ideally, I'd like to keep Jones to play backup power foward, but I don't see it happening. I think if we upgrade the starting power foward spot while keeping Jones, bring in a rim protector and a scoring guard to give Harden and Howard rest- we'll be a very good team. I think an 8 man rotation of Howard-Illyasova-Ariza-Harden-Beverly-Jones-Pachula-Johnson(if he pans out) is a team to really be reckoned with.
Is Iman Shumpert still available from the Knicks? We need bench firepower and he'd back up the 2-3 nicely.
A three-way deal wherein Eric Bledsoe is signed-and-traded to Boston, Rajon Rondo is traded to Houston, and draft picks and prospects are traded to Phoenix makes the most sense. I do not know how far under the cap Houston is at the moment, so I don't know how much salary Houston would need to include. Bledsoe has more trade value than Rondo at this point so Boston might need to send a first round pick Phoenix's way. Obviously Houston would have to send Phoenix the New Orleans first round pick.
