There aren't enough words in the English language to describe my excitement regarding these recent signings.
I remember watching his game against the Spurs... His stat line read like this: 15pts 7rebs 4asts 2stls 2blks 7-9 shooting Then he went on to average 2.3 points in his last 22 games.
Maybe Morey hit his head and was out cold and when he came to, he asked the doctor what year it was, and ....
we went from having the best off-season last year to probably the worst off-season in the NBA this year, ****
Remains to be seen.. people forget we list in first round, we have yet to see what this squad can do.
I don't mind any of these moves in isolation, but taken together doesn't it kind of seem like Morey has snapped and started just signing anyone who he ever remembers smiling at him at the water cooler?
The way Canaan played yesterday makes me wonder why Morey would sign Ish. OTOH, maybe Canaan played that way BECAUSE Morey signed Ish. Whatever works. Canaan really raised his stock price with that performance. Abusing Wiggins like that at crunch time was just... nasty.
Yes, yes it seems a lot like that. 1. Did they smile at me once? (yes) 2. Does anyone else want them? (no) 3. Will they take a minimum contract? (yes)
This is typical Morey. If you find yourself in a hole, you don't keep digging. We are signing familiar vets to minimum contracts to patch whatever holes we can while keeping ourselves open for trade opportunities and 2015 FA. Even if we landed Bosh, we were probably going to fill out the rest of the roster with guys like this, FWIW.
Why do people read so much into such signings? Just because morey is signing minimum training camp fodders doesnt mean he doesnt want to improve the team with bigger moves.
Actually, in between Lin, Boozer and drafting Randle, I think the Lakers did pretty well. Instead, I feel like the Pacers are having a pretty crappy offseason.
I really hope Canaan turned the corner but it was just 1 game....correction...1 summer league game. If you saw some of the other games, you wouldn't be making that statement. He was painful for me to follow knowing we had a gap in the backup pg spot.
LMAO!! seriously, sitting in a waiting room and read this and bust out laughing! lower your voice Rokman, these people are gonna think you're crazy....and maybe I am, I just referred to myself in the first person.
