Nick was also considered a 1st-round talent as well...thankfully he did fall to us in the 2nd-round. Another STEAL of a draft pick in our favor.
Very fun game. I'll talk plenty smack about Morey except when it comes to finding point guards. I think McHale may have had a hand in picking Canaan as well... I'm surprised people around here don't remember when McHale had Bobby Jackson in Minnesota.
Yea, but I think Nick is going straight to the D-League. May not see him until the middle of the season or next year.
Dunno about that, if he gets a chance the dude knows how to play basketball. He just belongs. Nothing looks too big for him.
I heard the same from Feigen. McHale is very reluctant to play rookies; we almost always wait for their sophomore campaign. There's nothing wrong with honing your skills in RGV. Besides, we need the talent to claim another D League title!
Great win and great performances! I'm pretty excited for Canaan, Johnson, And DMo. Those three are going to have important roles next season. A little disappointed with Covington's performance. He was 1st team All NBDLA. But he's been doing other things even though his shots aren't falling. I wish Daniels was on this team. We would be lighting it up!
He looks like he's going to have trouble staying in front of point guards and he's too short to cover shooting guards. But I've noticed on the offensive end he has trouble getting his shot off against better competition.
And btw Nick Johnson stole it from Wiggins, if you listen to the rest of the video. And that was to win the game. #ClutchCity
Really great game for our key guys. I've gone from thinking Ish's signing = Canaan possibly being moved to thinking Ish's signing = FO has faith in Canaan to take over Lin's role, w/ Ish as 3rd option. Good stuff.
