With all the rumours of player movement what is the most likley startin 5 for next year and yes I know there alot of choices
You should clarify the poll topic. The thread title and question posed in your post are vastly different.
I thought it was a long shot to resign Posey. I though we didn't have the cap room. Besides, when are we going to see our 2nd first rounder get some playing time. Unless we think, we're going to the Finals this year, let's let Nachbar play damnit! Let's give Posey a 6 year, $50M contract and kick ourselves for the next 6 years a la Mo and Cato...and Matt Maloney too...we'll see about Moochie.
Yeah same here, if we could get Brand with only trading Mo Taylor or Griffin I'd be the happy person in the world.
getting brand without losing your 3 best player, a dream come true. but i do not see it happen, but if we are dreaming, i would like a possibility: Francis Mobley Garnett Brand Yao i would vote for that.
I don't understand why we're settling for Brand and Miller. McGrady and Garnett would be a better fit.
Has this thread turned into a fantasy or somebody's wet dream now? ... If that is the case, I would like to have the Spurs's line-up right about now!
Posters why are we making such crazy suggestions? Posters voting for the last one on the list are looking forward to a TRADE for ELTON BRAND!!! This is the move that JVG should make!!!!!! He is going into his 5th season, he is one year younger than Francis, one of the best Rebounders and Shot Blockers, he he doesnt have to have the ball to perform well.
well getting Brand is impossible so thats a moot option. here is my dream line-up next year 1-TJ Ford-Francis 2-Franchise-Mobley 3-Posey-Nachbar 4-EG-Taylor 5-Yao-Campbell
Okay you've all lost touch with reality. First off, isn't Posey a RFA and won't he want more money than we can give. Second, isn't Rice back next year? No one mentions the possibility of him starting. If we can't/don't resign Posey, do you see Nachbar starting ahead of Rice? I don't see any significant trades happening, unless one of our "marquee" players gets winey and pisses off Van Gundy. I would most like to see a good backup SG on our roster so I don't have to watch Cutino for 48 minutes. Is this guy still trying to prove all the NBA GMs wrong for letting him slip to the 2nd round? Cat, you are a good player but you will never be great until you show some restraint. You are NOT the go-to guy.
C Yao PF EG SF Rice SG Steve PF Tony Parker Cat will be traded for a PG (possibly PF). My hope is SA chases Jason Kidd and makes Parker available (a very small chance of happening). If no Parker then pursue Andre Miller or Eric Snow (Snow would probably involve a 3rd team because I don't think Philly needs another gunner). I really think Rice can be a perfect complement to Yao post play and our guards ability to penetrate. We need a pure shooter and I hope it is Rice. Eddie is the starteer by default. Be nice to have an upgrade here especially since about every contendor (except LA) has a good PF. Hopefully when we goto JVG defensive system it may inspire Eddie. Either way I think we need a PG and possibly a PF, but I am wiling to give EG a few more years before I write him off. I am also a fan of Cat but I believe his time here is done, unless someone offers somehting crazy for Stevie.
Well.. I'm gonna venture a guess and say we aren't resigning Posey and we're not getting a big trade. We'll probly have at least a season with JVG with very little change in the lineup to kind of assess how things are going. But here's how I hope the lineup will be like: Francis/Moochie Hawk/Cat TMo/Nachbar MoT/EG Yao/Cato Plenty of offense in the starting lineup and I'm hopng Hawk can become a Bowen type of player. Cat would be a Harris type player, and split time with Hawk maybe half and half. And EG should be the second focal point of the offense in the second unit.
never hear od a Cat only fan?? Moniker why dont you put a gun to Les and Cd, and just maybe they will trade Steve or Yao
