The Mavs are going all in with this group. For the foreseeable future, they'll have either no cap space, or no Dirk. If one of those is missing, free agents aren't coming. Hell, they haven't been able to lure them up to this point, you think having Parsons and his Gordon-esque contract will tip the scales? Ever since Parsons took part in the courting of Dwight (because they happened to have played in the same school), who was probably gonna come over anyway, his ego has inflated to gigantic proportions. He doesn't have nearly as much pull in the league as he thinks he does. The man lucked into being part of the Dwight situation and lucked again into being part of a very marketable free agency story this year (Miami's last minute offer to Bosh, the Rockets striking out and having a firesale for nothing, Cuban overpaying a second tier free agent as owners who strike out in big free agencies are prone to do, the Dallas-Houston rivalry which had probably nothing to do with it but is good for the media, etc) If the Mavs somehow manage to swing a deal for a star within the next year and a half and Parsons plays an important role in the negotiations, good for them, but I don't see it happening.
Melo said dwight was 1st on his list of players he'd wanna team up with. Money talks and being competitive talks. Being able to have harden and durant as teammates, and getting more money trumphs parsons and monte freaking ellis
I think Parsons will find that being the over performing, underpaid, 2nd round pick he was treated very well by NBA players. Now that he is making millions more than those players, they won't like him as much.
It's obvious Carl is a troll. He's not a Rocket fan. If somebody can be banned, I don't see how he's not. I'll give you credit, you keep me away from here quite a bit. You're definitely a deterrent. As far as CP, at the end of the day, all that matters is he's gone. Time to move past it. Details of his departure don't matter. With the Ariza signing, we'll be a better team than we were last season. We don't have perfect superstars, but, nonetheless, we still have two. We'll be a top team this year, and we still have cap space to adjust to any situation. Always choose titles over emotions.
I went to high school with Dwain Price. Even back then he was one of the best at talking sports. So he went to college, got a journalism degree. Now he's getting paid doing what he loves to do. I tip my hat.
I have to disagree. Carl gets obsessed with certain players, sinks his teeth into their shorts and won't let go, come hell or high water. It can be very, very irritating. That's different from trolling. What Carl does better resembles lunacy. Other than that, he starts some very useful threads, makes a lot of nice posts, and is obviously a fan of the Rockets. In my opinion, of course.
Please, Howard didn't come here because of Parson's, that was just our management trying to give push up Parson's value, which backfired on us.
I was about to say it similar. Also the talk bk then didn't involve that SUPERSTAR Harden, and Ellis was many a players mentioned. Cuban talks a lot and leaks a lot. He deserves Dallas as LA would throw him out. He's too arrogant. Parsons now obviously thinks he recruits stars, so why didn't he wait to sign an offer sheet and do his magic. He could have even signed that offer sheet and recruited before.....oh but he was at the club just like James. Parsons got back at us, he felt used and under paid he was naive to this business, and then became a child. I'm glad he took that "Mo than MIKE JAMES money."
For you Chandler Parson bashing idiots. He's the one who helped land Dwight Howard here. He's the one who got the put back under the basket before Damian Lillard eventually hit that shot to knock the Rockets out. I don't begrudge a guy for wanting to be here and has confidence in his game. You people are idiots.
