Covington's been a lot better in the second half, he's played more of a supporting role to Johnson and Canaan, but his defense has been key to the big comeback. His long arms and pressure in double teaming the ball has led to several big deflections and steals.

I bad showing the in the summer league doesn't necessarily mean anything. Furthermore, a good showing doesn't mean much either.

Nick Johnson def looks like he could backup Bevs if not be the future starter. I know it's summer league but I like his game. He has the toughness of Bevs but also can create on offense and can thread the needle on his passes.

Dmo is playing a lot tougher too. And Covington looking better in the fourth quarter

I have no idea why I enjoy watching this. Maybe because i'm already really familiar with DMo + Canaan and Nick Johnson is super fun to watch.

While writing this Nick Johnson drove to the rim for an easy layup then sprinted back on defense and deflected a pass. Lol.

Canaan reminded a lot of Lowry this game also. Taking charges, pull up threes, and attacking the basket. If he plays like this during the season we'll be set at backup point guard!

cant wait for Nick Johnson to play with finishers. Some of these passes they are missing from him are pretty spectacular..

Interesting adjustments by coach Finch at the 2nd half.

Covington and NJ have been everywhere at the 2nd half. I think they look like valid NBA players already. Covington's had a bad shooting night but can help you in many different ways, love him.

Canaan also displaying an interesting skillset...

it would be a worry if 2nd year nba players weren't dominating rookies and non-nba players

I've been impressed the most by his court vision and passing.

To his credit, Covington was scrappy in the 2nd half and contributed to a win. So was Canaan. Only 7 assists for the Rockets for the whole game. Looked bad, but a W nonetheless

Bev should be worried. I can see Nick breaking down defenses and throwing lobs to Dwight.

His passing has looked great. I didn't expect it.

It seemed like he was constantly finding people for good looks which didn't get finished or lead to fouls.
