In order to be rewarded with an assist a player must take no more than two steps after reciveng the passed ball. Correct?

Mobley isolations certainly have an effect on Steve Francis's assist possibilities, but who cares. Would we rather not have Mobley run isolations so Francis can maybe add upon his assist averages? No, Of course not! So Its really not that important, recognition will come with winning consitently, not stat padding.

    MmmmHmmm.....

So surely the opposition coaches recognised that Brand was the only guy on the team that could score and sent a double-team over? Or maybe a triple-team? Full credit to Elton Brand that he only averaged 2.8 TO's per game to go along with his 20.1 PPG (yes, that's 20.1 which is more than 19...). He also shot 48% from the field (A lot higher that Stackhouse is averaging as the "only" scoring option for Detroit this year) and hauling in 10 boards while blocking 1.6 shots per contest (from a 6'8 player).

If you think it's some conspiracy that it was a shared ROY then you're probably unable to see past your love for our own Steve Francis to admit that there are other good players in the league.

Everyone I know outside of Houston always gets onto Steve's case about the draft day stunt he pulled. I get so sick of hearing about it.

Most people don't remember that other players in other sports have pulled the exact same routine before. I am not naming any names.... John Elway!

RunninRaven: My friends in Boston don't hold a grudge against Francis. Most of them just think he's an exciting young PG. I think that Houstonion's have an over-protective chip on their collective shoulders concerning that draft day [IMG].

Why should francis have to average 25 and 10 to get any recognition? This season John Stockton is being praised by many members of the media who feel he should be an all star even though he doesn't average anywhere near 25 points per game and he is getting 9 assists per game.

Sorry I was off by 1 point, it was entirely wrong of me to deprive Elton Brand of the credit he deserved for that extra free throw every night. [IMG] I was just using an approximate number that had been given in an early post.
And my reluctance to give any credit to brand is not because i'm such a fan of stevie and the rockets, but because I hate almost every player that has ever worn a duke jersey. [IMG]

would you hate battier if we somehow landed him?

I dont like Duke, but i like some of their alum.

North Carolina might have 4 players in the first round this year

Haywood, Forte, Lang, Capel(i doubt it, but i saw him listed going anywhere from late first to late second.
