how many of yall think MJ could coach the rockets? would u want him to or not? do you think he can even coach? i would leave to see that. it seems like jordan is a great inspirator and he'll do the same to the rockets. what do yall think?
"inspirator?" Please tell me I'm not the only person who's never heard of this word. As for MJ being a head coach...nah, I don't see it working. The young guys in WAS didn't even listen as a player what makes u think he could get across to a lot of the young players in today's game as a coach? And he would always be measuring the players he coached by how he played, y'know. Almost impossible standards to live up to.
I think Jordan himself once said he thought he'd make a terrible coach because his expectations would be too high. While it was just another example of Jordan being the arrogant jerk he is, I do think he's probably right about that. While I think he's got the brains to do it, I don't think he has the right temperment. And, as we've seen in his other attempts at career-changes, just because he's great on the basketball court doesn't mean he'll be great some place else too. Besides that, I don't think I want Houston making a gamble like that. If Jordan wants to be a coach, he should start as an assistant so people can see if he has what it takes.
What if I never clicked this thread? I've have 30 seconds if my life back... MJ as a coach? You've got to be kidding me. He is what in the computer industry people call a mouse grabber. He tries to explain to you how to do something, but can't communicate it effectively enough so he just grabs your mouse and says "No, idiot, do it like this."
What an idea! He could bring in Mad Max, Dennis Rodman and Scotty Pippin as his Assistants. We could change the new stadium from Downtown Arena to Downtown Circus! Let the show begin! Of course no Big Men, we will trade Yao Ming for Jerry Stackhouse.
Rodman's basketball IQ is as high as any coach currently coaching. Think he's a fool? what was he making a year in salary and endorsements compared to Ben Wallace who is the same type of player? While he would never ever get the chance to coach, I actually think he could be good. I know he's recently talked about coaching the WNBA, do not see a reason why not, he's should be good for a least a couple of thousand more tv viewers which would be double to normal amount.
LOL! i'm disappointed he hasn't clicked on this garbage yet. i'm even more disappointed that i have...
NO! Oh wait, why don't we go ask Rip Hamilton, Kwame Brown, and Jerry Stackhouse what they think of that one?
I would leave to see an great inspirator also, to be able to see MJ's large since of basketballictitude, his hoopsifrocity, and his retentialism.
i think he would make a good coach. i do however think he needs to be an assistant and watch first. I think a player such as him who has the will and determination and hunger to win would push his team to the max.
