Jeff Adrian is a really nice energy player who can rebound from what I remember, not a bad signing at all. Joey Dorsey is also the same, high energy player, very physical, big body with some athleticism.
I kinda like thus move. He can defend and rebound. Doesn't do anything as far as floor spacing, but that is ok. Dorsey is just plain dumb. DM should go for Jason Smith.
Jeff Adrien was the best signing of the offseason. This kid is a beast and I applaud Morey for signing him to a league minimum contract. He immediately moves ahead of DMO in the rotation and is as good of a backup PF as you can get on the open market.
Agreed, but by the same token you can't just say "We have plenty of offense" or "Offense is not our problem." That was the claim we were responding to, and as things stand now, it isn't true.
I'm convinced Morey is making a point that his ex-rocket players can be resigned. They don't all get "offended" by Morey's business decisions. Who's next?
Yeah was surprised when i looked up his averages for this year with the bucks 11 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, .8 blocks, .6 steals, 1 turnover, shooting FG-52% and FT-67% in 28 games averaging 25 minutes. Impressive.
Seeing as Trevor Booker just signed for $5 million/yr....this is a steal getting Adrien for minimum as a backup PF who plays good defense and is a good rebounder. Makes us way tougher in the post defensively with him and Dorsey now coming off the bench. I like it.
Jeff Adrien was nearly a double double for Milwaukee when he got quality minutes. Hope he picks up where he left off.
Ok, I get that. And true, we do need some offense off the bench. I dont know if Cowboy Troy and this Papa guy would be enough (I doubt that), so yeah it will be interesting to see what the next moves are. Do you agree that picking up two physical back up post players and Ariza will help with defense and rebounding?
While it is all a little crazy, both JD & JA are coming on at basement contracts.. Rockets fans shouldn't be worried but perhaps DMo should be. Even if he is still penciled in as the backup he is prone to stretches of inept games.
10.3/6.5 in 17 games in April. 14.3/10.0 in 8 games in May. Not a scrub, could provide decent backup to TJ.
