What we paid him compared to what he produced, yeah, it was pretty horrible.

Actually the ONLY thing that will be remembered is the Rockets butchering the .9 second defense and Lillard sinking the game winner. You'll see that as a highlight somewhere in the future. Lin's couple of bad plays will be a memory along with Harden's 83 missed shots out of 133.

The Rockets only paid Lin 5 Million. While still a little overpaid, not exactly horrible. What was horrible was Harden's D and shooting .376 and .296 from 3 for the playoffs. Now THAT'S horrible.

Only 8 mil counts against team Cap. For rest of those, why do you care so much about Les's or Buss's wallet?

Lin with less TO, better D and better 3 pt shooting is an All-star caliber player, good luck trying to get one, even with max money.

Thanks Jeremy for being a class act, and for not holding anything personal like the jerk in Dallas.

    Wish you the best

Good luck finding a Bev with better O and better 3pt shooting without an expensive contract.

Stupid response. A player's salary is integral to his value to his team.

So you think Lin's contribution each year wasn't worth 5 mil he got from Rockets? Rockets wouldn't even be in playoffs without him the first year.

I appreciate him not pouting like Asik when he was demoted to bench. I appreciate his big contribution to the back to back wins last year against Dallas and the Spurs. I appreciate his 9 3 pointers against the sixers and his triple double as a Rocket. He was a big reason why we won game 3 in the portland series.

I don't appreciate his silly turnovers, or jump in the air with no where to go. I don't appreciate his rookie mistake of not calling a timeout which resulted a costly turnover, and I really don't appreciate his toe on the line money shots.

Overall, I will miss the PBnJ backcourt.

Great point, and one that I keep making as well.

It's interesting that some people seem to resent Lin's payday, even when in the end, it didn't hurt the Rockets' cap flexibility (got Howard, after all). It's not as if the fans are paying it out of their tax dollars or anything either. Moreover, in the end, the Rockets got a pretty nifty deal because they passed on the big payday to the Lakers.

Starting with Melo and J.R. Smith, there has been this strange level of resentment about the fact that Lin is making a lot of money. Sure, he was overpaid by a bit (to me, he's about a $5-6 million/year player, which is exactly what Houston paid him in the end!), but is that a reason to take such offense?

His incompetence finally paid off for us since he actually played for the other team.

    Some Lins never change.

Drive to the rim halfway, pick up the dribble and turn over the ball. Classic Jerry Lin.

It was nice to see Lin play tonight and stink it up as he usually does.
