I disagreed with you. In hindsight, yea we get to keep Parson for one extra year, but then we will lose him to the open market. Morey doesnt like the approach of bidding for players in open market, this will always end in player's favor. He tends to like the route that lets other teams make the offer to test the "true market" value, then decide to match or not.
