Whatever happened to this guy after Channel 2? I know that he got canned but did he go to another station somewhere else in the country?

http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/story.hts/sports/barron/1933621 Former KPRC (Channel 2) anchor Craig Roberts has signed on as vice president of marketing for James E. Bashaw and Co., a Houston financial services company.
I remember he used to be on Rock 101 in the mornings (what were the names of the 2 morning guys who hosted for years and years?) and he had a theme song "Craig Roberts, lada da da da!"
It's too bad, he was just a guy who reported the sports but had a sense of humor about things too. When I was growing up, no weekend was complete without watching Sports Sunday. That was back when Channel 2 used to bring a little dignity to the news with old school newsmen like Ron Stone Then Channel two went all tabloidy with "the BIG story" crap and is like a b-rate local version of Hard Copy, and I guess Craig didn't fit. too bad, really.
I still can't believe channel 2 booted Roberts. He was the best and funniest of all the sports newscasters.
They did?!? I thought he quit. There was also one woman...who just said this was her last day and left! I wonder what happened to them..
Agreed! They booted him by not renewing his contract. I would love to see him replace Bill Worrell on Rockets and Astros game broadcasts. I think he would be great.
My gawd, man, do I hate Bill Worrell. Never thought about Roberts as a replacement, though. Not a bad idea. I'm convinced Worrell has naughty pictures of someone important, there's really no other justification for him having a broadcast job. Roberts was behind me in line at Otto's last week, he's a really nice & funny guy.
Sort of on topic, but not.. Whatever happened to Chuck George? He was the morning weatherman for Channel 2.
coma, iirc, he left to take care of his sick father out of state somewhere. he announced it well before he left, i think he worked until his contract expired. At least that was the official story.
No, not Butch. His name was George something. He filled in as an anchor at the news desk. I couldn't find his picture on their website.
What channel do you watch for local news? Fox, CBS, NBC, or ABC? Or that new News24Houston channel? Or just all of them?
yea, that was them.. they were much better than this syndicated Walton and Johnson crap they got going these days..
In other related but non-related news, if anyone remembers that Anna Davlantez lady from Fox 26, she moved up to CHicago right aroudn the same time I did last year and now works for Fox 32 in Chicago.
