Here's to hoping that Dirk loses a step and Parsons' contract becomes an albatross.

I can't believe he was so arrogant that he didn't want to wait to make his own team better.

Clubbing with Cuban and laughing his arse off.... This has a lot to do with class. Obviously he went another direction.

We should take the high road here.

I think most of what he said was ok.

And I can understand being offended about being replaced by the likes of...oh wait the best player in the entire game and in the discussion for GOAT? And the second highest scorer last season who also happens to be one the most prolific scorers over the past decade?

Ok so maybe that last part was a little overboard Parsons.

He has always been a diva. You just didn't care cause he was on the rockets. The reason why morey made him RFA is because Morey thought he could get a deal like lowry and scola, but it backfired.

I am glad for parson he played hard and earned his money. Players should always try to get what they can cause morey wouldn't think twice about using them like assets.

Parsons' contract is 46 over 3 years, so yeah 15 is right, but it has a player option and trade kickers (which do matter with the cap increases)

But Ariza's contract is 32m for 4 years, if you think that's close to ten and a difference of "$5m", may I suggest you go back and repeat the 3rd grade?

To give you an example of the difference, let's say Durant wants to play with Harden so we need to make space and the cap jumps to 80m because of the new tv deal as the nba is projecting.

Parson's contract, if he doesn't opt out for the receiving team is $18.8m (he receives almost the whole 15% trade kicker because the base max is so much higher), Ariza's contact at the same time for the receiving team is $7.8m

Then you must havent been looking too hard. http://m.espn.go.com/general/blogs/...smavericks&id=4697274&city=dallas&src=desktop
30+ million is a ton of cap space to fill out a roster to complement dirk & parson and a 15+ million player. Furthermore the nba has projected the cap to be 66 million+ next year.

Good lord, what else didn't Cuban stroke besides Chandler's ego?

lol everyone b****es about how we always speculate about us disrespecting players, well it happens all the time. Parsons needs to have thicker skin, buts its understandable how he got upset. Ironically, the same maneuver the rockets use to lure FAs in actually gives them a bad rep.

whether you are offended at Chandler's offense, Lin's departure, or Asik's trade demands, the conclusion you HAVE to consider after all three situations playing out is that players do consider team loyalty and promises to be more important than many would like to concede around here. It's not "all business" all the time. People do make emotional decisions.
