Minnesota T'Wolves. I live up here and get to hear him often. Good guy. Speaks regularly about his Houston days and jokes about his skills in comparison to McHale.

    OK so now I show:...

HAKEEM OLAJUWON: Raptors then retired... heading to HofF
    RALPH SAMPSON: supporting his daughter...
    LEWIS LLOYD: ?
    JOHN LUCAS: former head coach(?)
    ROBERT REID: coaching minors
    RODNEY MCCRAY: ?
    ALLEN LEAVELL: ?
    MITCHELL WIGGINS: played in France...
JIM PETERSEN: color for Minn. TWs
    STEVE HARRIS: ?
HANK MCDOWELL: color for U of Memphis
CRAIG EHLO: ret. from Sonics, coached HS, pursuing broadcasting
    GRANVILLE WAITERS: ?

    BILL FITCH: Retired

GENE PETERSON: Still at it eh!?

I even recall most of the guys on the bench getting lots of playing time. 'Granny' looked old (today he would have shaved his head!) but he held his own I thought against the great. For most of these guys save Hakeem, this is probably a shining achievement. I wonder if they think that too? Wonder if they ever get together for a reunion?

Oh remember how Rambus would come in for LA purely to start some trash with a young Ralph or a young fiery Hakeem? It was pretty blatant stuff! Every time He'd go in I'd groan... what's gonna happen next!?

If it weren't for this time I probably wouldn't be following the rockets from afar.

If anybody can offer any suggestions on video - Please contact me <pgtr@bigfoot.com>

About video, I'm pretty sure espn replayed the '86 finals series yesterday if not the day before. I watched, it was pretty cool to see the twin towers in action even though they couldnt contain a hot Larry Bird. But video exists, maybe espn will replay it again soon.

I bet your talking about ESPN Classic - ouch that hurts - I have C-Band and can only get ESPN and ESPN2. For that matter I can NEVER find the dang schedule on their website! Maybe I'm just blind. WIsh I had ESPN Classic :(

Thanks for the heads up anyway,

I know it sounds like a espn classic show, but I'm almost positive it was on either espn or espn2. I have the dish network, so channel listings are sometimes messed up, but I remember being suprised to see it on a regular espn channel. It probably wont air again for some time, but maybe with our recent press, more rockets stuff will make tv.

are you sure the North Shore QB is Bobbie Joe's son?

I've seen a picture of the younger Robbie Reid, and he looks absolutely NOTHING like Bobbie Joe.

it would be a cool factoid if true, but I don't know that it is.

Oh I'll tell you something that drove my dad crazy about watching the LA series in the semis. Magic would always bring the ball up and 'roll' the ball if you know what I mean. He'd always pick the ball up from underneath while walking/trotting and roll it over (or pass it) as he pleased. My dad would yell at the TV 'He's walking! Call it Ref!!!' :)

Heck I think that is pretty common practice these days and not even my dad gets excited over that one anymore.

I see Rodney McCray at some of the games in the locker room area. Alen Level was selling life insurance for NML in 1994 or so. GRANVILLE WAITERS changed his name to Jerry Glanville waiter please.

Yep. It's a technique for passing at any giving moment.

Stockton does that very well. But he's able to hide it. He can pass on the down dribble and on the up dribble.

You have to have wide hands though, or else it's too easy to spot from the refs.

Lewis Lloyd is playing in pick up games in Detroit. Seen in current article in Slam Magazine about legends of street ball.
