You have to take a look at the whole picture. Cuban went after Harden and Howard, did not get either. Went after Lebron, Bosh, some other stars. At least we had Parsons. Now with Harden and Howard.
Who cares. Parsons will only be there for two years (unless he underperforms) then be a UFA when the bigger salary cap kicks in. Mavs gave him the huge deal because they know they can't get a star player in the next couple of years. It was a logical move for the Mavs, but they're not going to be playing for championships.
