He's a rookie who was labeled as "extremely raw". Sounds great for a team allegedly in win-now mode...
Actually this whole free agency non-sense has detracted from the excitement Rox fans would normally have for a guy like Capela. He's raw, but the length and athleticism is something that Morey has never had the chance to draft before. Its essentially top 10 length and athleticism in a normal draft. He's basically a 6'10" PF version of Giannis. Giannis was incredibly raw coming over last year, and slowly picked up the game at the next level because he was just such an athlete that the game just came to him. Either Capela is going to pick it up quickly or he's just going to end up being another Biyombo type. I'll go ahead and make a bet now while we are at it. I bet you Capela gets more threads than any other project this year on the GARM, and after a couple losses he's going to be the designated project that folks whine and b**** about not playing and how McHale doesn't trust young players, etc.
He’s pretty good. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/a0Z35aXdpdU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Personally, I'd rather Capela stay in Europe this season & avoid the going back to RGV over & over again and his agent being unhappy story.
Looks (from that highlight reel) as though Capella already knows the big man role in the Rockets offence. Slide off the screen and dunk the lob from Harden. Looks like a nice athlete - some of those blocks, HAVE MERCY
