I think Tmo could be our Stephen Jackson

Jackson is a guy who knocked around before sticking on a team. Tmo could well have gone that route had it not been for Rudy T. It occured to me that there is nothing Jackson can do that Tmo cannot do really. Right now the only area where Jackson is better is on the 3pt line; but that disparity is not so big if you look at Jackson numbers the year before. Besides the 3pt line, Tmo is a better rebounder, shot-blocker and has a much better fg%. With JVG, Tmo may just be in for a Jackson type breakout year. Of course that would not be easy if JVG plays the slow down game.

Totally agree DearRock, I think he can also be much better than Jackson. TMO has a very good overall floor game and he's tall with long arms ala Robert Horry, which makes it easier for him to feed it into the post. Would love to see him start next season.

Yes. Definitely...TMo just needs some confidence and more playing time. He is smarter than Stephen Jackson too....Terence is a perfect 11th man. In the future...he could be a great bench player.

Oh My Lord...okay..fine maybe Stephen Jackson does have OK ballhandling skills...but horrible passer and decision maker. Off the dribble? All he can do is shoot..more than half the time he penetrates...he turns the ball over.

Jackson is much more athletic than T-Mo. T-Mo is an average athlete in the NBA.

Posey could be our Stephen Jackson, not Tmo.
Jackson is an overrated player by Popovich. Steve Smith is much better. Jackson do what he likes in San Antonio, he knows he have the confidence of Pop. He can plays 40 min. with 7 turnovers and continue playing. Posey can be a better defensive player than him, and with the Stephen's confidence he would make some threes.
It's easy with Van Gundy he plays 30-more minutes. I don't think RIce plays anything. Other option can be Nachbar plays some minutes or Tmo, but it's clear, with Van Gundy the rotation will be over 9 players, so 2 of thats forwards won't play nothing.
Tmo have all posibilities to be one of them. Rice also.
 So all that to say Tmo won't be Jackson, may Posey.
For Boki's luck I hope Tmo don't be Stephen.

ANd noooooooooo, we must sign Maggette or Odom, not Posey.

I wish he would be more like Ben Wallace.

Stephen Jackson's game revolves around taking people off the dribble. This is something TMo has never done in his entire basketball career. He will either be a spot up shooter or a decent post player for his entire career. He lacks the athleticism and ball handling needed to become the type of player Stephen Jackson is.

jackson has better ball handling skilss then Tmo. However, I think he's a better all around player. I would love Tmo to get 30 mins a game. He should have played more last year, over eddie and rice. 10 pts, 5 reb, 1 blk, 2 asst is what i think he could bring. with solid man defense and hustle. he's a good shooter. he had a bad shooting rookie year but was solid last year. and for history, he was a good shooter (except his senior) at MD. What some dont realize about Tmo was that he helps the flow of an offense. Whether knocking down the open jumper or even better yet, passing the ball to the person who eventually gets an assist. he needs to play. Maybe he he would be an disadvantage starting at the 3 or 4 but the right coach could mix and match his way for 20-30 min per game.

Jackson is one of those "work your way up" guys who played in multiple leagues before this one. Morris is not that kind of a guy, unfortunately.

A decent role player, I don't know why he is starting though, I see his PT sinking precipitously with Ginobli becoming the starter next year.
